PLYMOUTH FFA ALUMNI MEMBERS ATTEND STATE ALUMNI CONVENTION
FFA Alumni members attend the 2012 Wisconsin FFA Alumni Convention in Janesville, WI. Drew Fritz, President; Nikki Halle, Vice President; Sheila Thiel, Secretary; Bridgett Neu, Treasurer; and Walter Taylor, agriculture instructor/co-FFA advisor attended this year's convention. Alumni members attended workshops to learn about how to increase participation in their organization, changes to the membership system, and participated by purchasing items on the auction. Funds from the auction help Wisconsin FFA students through secondary education scholarships, Supervised Agricultural Experience grants, and leadership conference grants. It was an action packed weekend networking with other alumni chapters around the state and bringing home the enthusiasm that FFA alumni members can utilize to help build their own programs, FFA chapters, and agricultural education departments. On Saturday, agricultural educators toured Kerry, Inc., and McFarlane Pheasants, Inc. "The education gleaned from these agribusiness tours and industry professionals will benefit the Plymouth Agriculture Department classes and FFA students," said Taylor. The next Plymouth FFA Alumni Board meeting is February 27, 2012 at 7pm in the PHS agriculture lecture room C119.
